Official event supplier

We were present in Paris from February 7 to 12 as official supplier to the World’s Best Sommelier competition. This competition showcases the sommelier and hospitality professions, and is the most prestigious competition in the world of sommellerie.

Over the course of an intense week, 67 candidates from 65 countries competed to win the prestigious title of World’s Best Sommelier 2023.

Why join the competition?

Being an official supplier to this prestigious competition helps to consolidate our premium positioning as a key player in the Languedoc wine industry, to showcase our expertise to the world’s best sommeliers and to a public of wine experts, to enhance our image with our customers, prospective customers and the French and foreign press, and to open the doors to top establishments in France and abroad.

Intense competition won by Raimonds Tomsons

The tests reflect the sommeliers’ day-to-day work and highlight their qualities and skills. Candidates were assessed not only on their knowledge of wines, spirits and other beverages from around the world, but also on the quality of their service and their ability to advise and inspire customers.

The final and closing ceremonies, held at the Paris La Défense Arena, offered a thrilling spectacle that enthralled the 4,500 professionals and amateurs in attendance. Usually held behind closed doors, the final tests were held in public.

Congratulations to Raimonds Tomsons, elected World’s Best Sommelier 2023! France’s Pascaline Lepeltier finished just off the podium in 4th place.
