Vignobles Foncalieu, an emblematic cooperative of 650 Languedoc winegrowers, benefits from an exceptional terroir! The variety of clay-limestone, schist and gravel soils enables the winegrowers to cultivate multiple grape varieties which, thanks to the region’s specific climate, express themselves in a singular way, offering a unique aromatic palette.

The most common Languedoc white grape varieties are Chardonnay, Roussanne, Vermentino and Grenache Blanc.

In 2027, the “Foncalieu” Cooperative will celebrate its 60th anniversary. It now represents several hundred winegrowers committed to sustainable viticulture to best protect the future of their terroir. The white and red wines produced from these vines have steadily gained in reputation, and in the 21st century are among the finest references for Languedoc white wines in particular.
